Thursday Snippets

Australia Day long weekend. Casual sailing at our club on Saturday 27th. If you are intending to come down you could provide a comment on our Facebook indicating sailing am or pm, and seeing whether others are coming down. Across the weekend there is Festival Sails Regatta at Geelong which includes dinghy classes, and Wooden Boats festival at Inverloch, with at least one boat from ASC sailing in each.

On 3/4 February there will be social sailing at Albert both days, and interclub Top of the Bay Regatta from Williamstown Sailing Club. ASC and APYC traditionally join clubs from top of Port Phillip for this event. Information session at 1230 for 1400 hrs start. Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions should appear over weekend and will be placed on www.albertsc.org.au. You can rig and sign on at Williamstown SC or at Port Melbourne YC. Rod Thomas is one who plans to sail from Port Melbourne which is much closer to ASC.

Our ASC Summer Learn to Sail program starts on Sunday 4th February and runs through to Saturday 3rd March. Anyone who wants to enrol for this program or knows someone who wants to do so can find further information on the Learn to Sail tab of www.albertsc.org.au and register interest via training@albertsc.org.au.

ASC Summer Series commences on 10 February with club race at 2.30pm and club open from 9am.

Have a good weekend
