Thursday Snippets, 1 March

We start Autumn with a full program all day on Saturday 3rd March. Last session of the summer Learn to Sail program for adults and juniors in the morning. Summer Series 4 club race at 2pm and the junior Green Fleet program from 1pm. The BOM forecast looks good with maximum temperature of 30 degrees, and light northerlies in the morning followed by an afternoon sea breeze. Grand Prix track works is well underway with some Park road closures. The Albert Road entrance through the Steel Gates to the Sailing Club will be open until Monday 19th, with the Park closed to the public for a week from the 19th.

Power Boat Handling Training Course Sunday 18th March 2018, 9.30am to 12.30pm. ALL MEMBERS, even those without a power boat licence, please email or message John Whelan at commodore@albertsc.org.au or Graeme Blunt at graemeblunt@yahoo.com.au to attend the power boat handling training course You will learn how to prepare and operate the power boats, including manoeuvring the boats on water, how to safely transfer a sailor to the power boat, how to bring a dinghy back to shore. Further sessions can be programmed if you are unable to make this one.
