The 4 new RS Zests should be arriving soon. They will need names and we invite you to submit your naming suggestions. Please, no “Boaty McBoatface”! We would like to officially launch and name the boats at our Family and Friends Picnic Day on Sunday 22 April 2018. Please submit your naming suggestions to And don’t forget to involve family and friends and ask them along to the picnic day. We will have some fun sailing activities as well as old fashioned picnic activities on the grass. It should be a fun day for everyone and a chance to show off your club to all those who wonder what happens when you disappear on a Saturday for a few hours.

Albert sailors have had success at recent state titles. Owen McMahon was a part of the crew which won the Victorian Etchells state titles on a boat skippered by a former ASC junior member, Tom King.

Juniors also did very well at the Opti state titles at Blairgowrie. Finn McMahon, Philip Cripsey, Anna Cripsey, Hamish Gilsenan, Claudia McMahon and Jack Italia had solid performances in the open division. In the green fleet, Nigel Leishmann and Tess Rawlings also performed well.

Finally in this edition, a reminder to look out for the expanded range of club clothing and merchandise. Everyone is a club ambassador, so wear club branded clothing when coming to the club for sailing.
