Albert Sailing Club’s Winter Series continues on saturday 2 June with Winter Series 3. Racing will take a long course format for senior and youth classes, and short race format for Opti and Minnow junior classes. Winter Series racing sarts at 2pm with the Information Session upstairs in our clubrooms at 1.15pm. Better Sailing and junior green fleet sailing sessions on in the morning.

There is no club racing on the Queens Birthday long weekend from 9 – 11 June. Some hardy souls, in particular some Impulse sailors are likely to venture to Hazelwood Pondage near Morwell for the annual Sauna Sail Regatta. Club Racing then resumes on saturday 16 June A Working Bee has been programmed for 9am – noon on 16th June to cleanup and undertake maintenance in our clubrooms, boatyard, boats and equipment in preparation for the upcoming regattas. We need a good turnout of club members to help out.

Albert Sailing Club is hosting two major regattas in June and July. We need a good turnout of members at each of these. Speak to or contact our Club Secretary or a Flag Officer if you can help out :
* Albert Sailing Club’s Annual Winter Regatta is on saturday 23 June (pm) and Sunday 24 June we have . Victorian Mirror Class Championships being held in conjunction with this Regatta. Dust off those older wooden Mirrors and hit the water. Notice of Race and online Entry for the Regatta available on www.albertsc.org.au within the next week. ASC members and visitors encouraged to enter online, even if only sailing one day.
* The 2012 Australian Schools Teams Championships is being hosted by Albert Sailing Club from Thursday 12th to Sunday 15th July. This will be a big event wtih 22 schools teams competing. Intensive planning is underway. We are going to need good numbers of volunteers on each of the four days particularly for shore based roles. Email vicecommodre@albertsc.org.au or contact a committee member if you can help out.
