The Albert Park Reserve was closed to the general public for the F1 Grand Prix on tuesday 20th and re-opens on Tuesday 27th March. Our next scheduled ASC sailing day is on Saturday 7th April with Summer Series 6 club race at 2pm (following change back to AEST in Victoria). No doubt there will be some down sailing socially on Easter Saturday if the whether is reasonable.

Sunday 22 April ASC Family and Friends Picnic day on the water with your own boat or a club training boat, and socially in clubhouse/on club decking/on lawns in front of the club. Albert Sailing Club has been well represented at Wooden Boats Festivals in Victoria in the last couple of months, with some good results and feedback. Steve Dunn’s ‘Grumpy Boy’ took out a couple of the major trophies at the Inverloch Wooden Boat Festival at end of January. Jaemie Wilson’s wooden dragon “Siena” was the overall winner of the Classic Yacht division of the Geelong Wooden Boat festival on the March Labour Day long weekend. Items on both boats are in our Summer Mudpuddler newsletter on www.albertsc.org.au.

ASC was also well represented at the Optimist class titles at Blairgowrie on the March long weekend. Finn McMahon sailed well to win Victorian State Championship. Phillip Cripsey the 11 year old and under State Champion winner.

Items on ASC members at some recent regatta events with photos have been placed on our Albert Sailing Club Facebook.
