Thursday Snippets, 31 October

Enjoy the first weekend in NovemberĀ and Tuesday’s Melbourne Cup Day. No scheduled ASC sailing this weekend. There are likely to be a few down on Saturday morning for some casual sailing if the weather is OK. Club sailing resumes following weekend. On Friday 8th there is another in the series of Sail and Social twilights at ASC with club open from 4.30 and BBQ and chat on club decking over dinner time. Then on Saturday 9th there is Week 2 of Learn to Sail program in morning, and in the afternoon club Spring Season race at 2.30 and Junior Green Fleet program from 1.30. There are places available on the Junior November Green Fleet program on saturday afternoons in November with registrations required in the next few days on https://albertsailingclub.wildapricot.org

The next edition of our club’s quarterly Mudpuddler Newsletter is being compiled in mid November. Items of interest including articles, photos, reports, etc. are being sought and should be sent to our Newsletter editor Jamie via mudpuddler@albertsc.org.au by 14th November.

This summer is big for national championships in Victoria. If you are considering entering Impulse or Mirror nationals in late December or Laser or Optimist nationals in January this would be a good weekend to lodge your online entry if you have not already done so.
