Second last club race for 2019 on Saturday 7th December at 2.30. A promising forecast with Moderate SSW winds predicted for Saturday. There is an Un-Regatta for junior open skiff class from APYC across the weekend, with novelty events including the “Sailing Limbo”
Top results by couple of ASC sailors last weekend with Tana Deyell 2nd in a 17 boat fleet at the South Australian Optimist Championships in Adelaide and Ron Fergusson 4th of 20 boats in the Aero 7 division of the Australian Aero championships at Black Rock.

On saturday 14th December following our final club race for 2019 there will be a joint ASC/APYC Christmas function with a catered dinner in the Albert Park Yacht Club Port Lounge. Subsidised for club members , with partners and guests welcome. Details and the booking link on https://albertsailingclub.wildapricot.org/ Come and join the Christmas Celebrations. Book by Tuesday 10th to enable catering arrangements. There will be a Christmas Hamper Raffle on the 14th – any contributions for the hampe, speak to Don McKenzie or email him via training@albertsc.org.au.
On Wednesday 18th December there will be a pre-Christmas late afternoon/twilight Sail and Social Evening at ASC with sausage sizzle BBQ. The club RS Quest will be rigged for a sail and club training boats available for member use BBQ. Club open from 4pm, with most expected to arrive 5 – 6.30 period. Pre- registration not required. Join us for a pleasant evening of sailing and/or socialising in one of the best scenic locations in Melbourne.
On Friday 13th December the Albert Park Sailing Precinct, which includes ASC, will be hosting a sailing and social afternoon 2 – 5 pm at Albert Sailing Club for sporting organisations in the Albert Park Reserve . We need a few club members to assist with BBQ, club Bar, and sailing of our RS Quest. Email Rod via training@albertsc.org.au if you can assist.
An ASC junior school holiday program from 20 – 23 January, in own boat or an ASC junior training boat is being considered if their is sufficient interest. Email Rod via training@albertsc.org.au if interested.

The Summer edition of the ASC quarterly Mudpuddler has been published and sent to members. A copy for downloading has been placed on the Home screen of the club website www.albertsc.org.au. Our editor Jamie is travelling next year. We need someone to take on the Newsletter editor role. Articles are written by club members. The editor compiles the newsletter using online templates and organises printing and publication. Contact Cindy via commodore@albertsc.org.au if you may be able to take this on, with some training and support from Jamie and previous Newsletter editors.
