The club’s monthly general committee meeting is another meet on Monday 12th October at 7.30. Contact the Commodore or Secretary if you have something to raise.
In Other News ————— The ASC bathtub Boat Building competition closed this week with a mixed fleet of 9 entries including two trimarans, a tall ship, 5 monohulls, and a two litre container boat. Photos of entries are on their way to the start line on the club website, and will be up for judging next week.
A couple of weeks ago Ron ‘Lacko’ Lackington forwarded a suggestion for a new pontoon type craft for the club to consider for one of the grants we are currently applying for. The Shuttle bike is an Italian design which is best suited to flat water Lake conditions. It comes in a handy carry bag, with instrructions for inflation/deflation and use. In lockdown Ron has got his road bike out of the garage and taken to the road to build up fitness for a possible Shuttle bike try out on the Lake. This provides another activity for all of us to look forward to.
