A full day of activities at Albert Sailing Club on saturday 6th February, including commencement of our Term 1 training and development programs. This kicks off with the Summer adult and youth Learn to Sail program from 9.30 to 12.30. Then the ASC/Boatshed junior development program in Ozi Optis and Youth development programs in Pacers from 2 to 4.30pm. A big welcome to the people joining the club for these programs. The weekly Summer season club race is from 2.30, with sign on and briefing at APYC.
We continue to closely monitor Victorian Government COVID19 updates and changes to public health directions. The club’s COVID19 Safe Plan, with an emphasis on club and personal responsibilities, is on our club website. The Government’s updated directions from 3 February had no changes effecting community sport other than the general requirement for face masks to be worn inside public indoor spaces, which includes our clubrooms. Any further updates effecting club operations will be placed on our club website www.albertsc.org.au.
During the week a credit card was found in the club galley. Check with Galley volunteers or Rod if this may have been yours.
Upcoming ————– 13th February Top of Bay Regatta for clubs at top of Port Phillip including Albert Park Lake clubs being hosted by Williamstown Sailing Club. Launching from Williamstown or Port Melbourne clubs. Race Documents including Entry Form again from the link on Home screen of www.albertsc.org.au. No organised club sailing on the Lake on 13 February.
