Thursday Snippets, 15 April

Club sailing on saturday 17th. In the morning our club’s annual ‘Virgo’ Ladies Skippers Race, this year to be sailed 2up in club RS Zests. 10am Morning tea and Information Session, with short format race from 11. Lady skippers and crew from Lake clubs and other clubs welcome. Details and Registration via link on  After lunch break there is club racing from 2pm with sign on and information session at APYC.

This weekend  the Australian Sailing Victorian Youth Sailing Championships are being sailed at Royal Yacht Club Victoria at Williamstown. ASC’s Hamish is competing in Laser and Nigel Leishamn in Opti Skiff (ex-Bic) and we wish them well.

The Autumn edition of ASC’s Mudpuddler Newsletter has been compiled and loaded onto the Home Screen of our club website Check it out for reports and news of recent and upcoming activities. 

On saturday 24th April we have our Autumn Working Bee from 9.30 till finished, hopefully early afternoon. Plenty of jobs, with a list at the top of the stairs in our clubrooms. This is a day for active and not so active members to show support in maintenance of our club and equipment.There is a Rowing Regatta programmed on the Lake till early afternoon and no club racing in afternoon, but potentially opportunity for casual sailing after working bee finishes.

ASC winter season from May to September commences on saturday 1 May. Visitors from other club welcome, with Winter Associate and middle boatrack options available.

The Autumn Learn to Sail program for adults and youth has been programmed over 3 weekends commencing on sunday 2nd May. Details and online application on
