Thursday Snippets, 15 June

There is a Winter Series club race scheduled for 2pm on saturday 17th June. The weather forecast as of Wednesday evening is looking unfavourable with strong to gale force winds being predicted for Port Phillip
* A call on the club race will be made at lunchtime at club on saturday. When known we will seek to place on club Facebook.
* Given the forecast the morning program on 17th which included a 9.30 meeting for newer members and 11am short informal race will not proceed. They are being scheduled for 2 weeks later on saturday 1st July. * The 2022 – 23 Trophy Presentations and BBQ scheduled for 5pm is also being moved to 1st July.
* There will be a mini working bee for those who come down on saturday morning to tidy the club up for the Regatta on the following weekend.
On Sunday 18th June there is Week 4 of the VIODA Optimist Winter Coaching Program. Any updates on this and details of the next Block 2 program  commencing mid July are through VIODA.

On saturday 24th June (pm) and sunday 25th June we have Albert Sailing Club’s annual Top of the Lake Regatta. Notice of Race on club website with entries sought via online link by Wednesday 21st June. Late entries possible online until Friday June 23 and at the club on the day, with entry by 21 June strongly preferred.  Entry required for  Albert Sailing Club and Albert Park Yacht Club who may only be sailing the saturday Winter Series race.
