Thursday Snippets, 21 July

Saturday 23 July forecast is for a return to colder weather, some showers and an averaging 15 knot westerly wind.  Rod Thomas has volunteered to act as an OOD for a scratch race, and social sailing. He needs one or two people to partner him in a RIB (if you can help out email him at sailing@albertsc.org.au). APYC will supply start boat and a RIB or two, and we will sail a common course. Usual 1.15 briefing for 2pm start. For the Galley Don will provide soup and rolls, otherwise BYO lunch. Junior Optimist class training programs programmed for the morning.

On Sunday 24 July the Hartley T16 Association’s annual Demonstration Day will be held in the gravel area next to Albert Sailing Club from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm. Come and have a look at a group of Hartley Trailer Sailer 16s and speak to class association members. Further details www.australianhartleyts16.org.au/Joomla/

Club racing and various junior Optimist training programs weekly from 30 July. On sunday 31 July the Victorian Teams Racing Championships are being sailed all day on Albert Park Lake, with APYC hosting.
