This Saturday 28th of March we start with a Better Sailing training session in the morning. Geoff will be at the club from 9:30am to open the gates so you can rig a boat.
A short theory session at 10:00am then on the water until 12:00pm with a debrief following over lunch. This Better Sailing session may have a mix of newer members and some more experienced sailors, so the content will have elements to cater to both groups.
Then the Summer Handicap Series resumes in the afternoon with sign on and briefing at APYC at 1:45pm with racing starting at 2:30pm.
The lake water level is still down, so we shall still be sailing with partially raised centreboards whilst we wait for some more significant rainfall.
A few spiders have been seen in the boatyard so please be careful when removing boat covers
Notices:
Maurie Plant Meet at Lakeside Stadium from late afternoon on Saturday, this should not affect parking in Aquatic Drive until late in the afternoon.
The Albert Park Reserve has re-opened, with some road closures continuing. Vehicles can now enter via the steel gates off Albert Road, with parking in Aquatic Drive.
The next Learn to Sail course starts on the 2nd of May, the course is open and has places available, please contact Geoff via training@albertsc.org.au if you have any questions.
