The Winter Season on the Lake continues with club races from 2pm on 3, 10, 17 and 24 August. The racing on 24 August will be a resail of the 4 May Winter Championship race. The VIODA Optimist Class Winter Coaching Program continues each sunday 1 – 4pm until 1 September. The club’s galley continues to operate at lunchtime and Doug’s Bar after racing on saturdays, with a small increase in prices to cover cost increases.
Upcoming ———– 7/8 September Women & Girls City Sail Coaching & Racing Regatta on Albert Park Lake from Albert Park Yacht Club. Both days coaching sessions in groups with a coaching team from Bay clubs in the morning, followed by short course coached racing in the afternoon. In 2023, we had 2 ASC Women from ASC sail this event in their own boat, 3 in ASC training boats, and over 10 of the VIODA Optimist girls. Be great to have similar or better involvement again.
