On the 19th/20th October weekend * The Spring Season race on 19th has division starts from 2.30pm with 1.30 Information Session at APYC. * Albert Sailing Club’s annual Discover Sailing Public Open Day 10am to 2pm on Sunday 20th. Invite family and friends down to try sailing with us on Albert Park Lake and discover our club and its facilities. Also for club members who sail less regularly to come and sail. The forecast 3 days out looks promising, and much better than last year’s Day. No costs involved, and this includes the Sausage Sizzle on the upstairs decking at lunchtime. Pre-registration preferred on www.albertsc.org.au with a Registration link for Visitors and a separate link for volunteers who can assist for all or some of the day. There will be a registration desk for walkups on the day.

* On Saturday 2nd November come and join in the fun of our Derby Day Party. There will Devonshire Tea and social sailing from 10.30, a BBQ lunch including homemade burgers and dessert (or BYO lunch) and a fun novelty sailing race in the afternoon, weather permitting. Club training boats may be available for members to hire depending on the weather, with an update on this in the Snippets of 31 October. The bar will be open from 12 and there will be a parade/prize for the best Derby Day outfit or hat/fascinator (Derby Day colours are Black and White). There is no need to pre-register — just come along, bring your family and friends, and enjoy a fun spring day at your club. Any queries, or any people willing to help on the day (either on-water or with the catering), please contact Cindy via admin@albertsc.org.au.
