Thursday Snippets, 10 October

Club sailing each saturday in October, with afternoon club races now from 2.30pm with change of clocks to Daylight saving.
On saturday 12 October Members Information meeting in our clubrooms from 11.30am.This is an important meetings for discussion of the future of our club and sailing on the Lake with the key agenda item covered in the email sent to members on 25th September.
Also on saturday, likely to need for a replacement person as a rhib crew for afternoon race .  If you can be available if required, please contact Cindy via admin@albertsc.org.au.

* Sunday 20 October Albert Sailing Club’s annual Discover Sailing Public Open Day 10am to 2pm. Your chance to invite family and friends down to try sailing with us on Albert Park Lake and discover our club and its facilities. Also opportunity for club members who sail less regularly  to come and sail. Club website www.albertsc.org.au has Discover Sailing Day details and Registration links for Visitors and Volunteers who can assist on the day.
* From Sunday 10 November Albert Sailing Club’s Spring Learn to Sail course for members, with option for current non members to join club and register. Course am and pm on 10, 17 and 24 November, and am on 30th, Details and Registration link on www.albertsc.org.au.

As part of the Opening Day for the Spring Sailing Season on saturday 5th October there was a Ladies Bracelet Trophy Race. Ron Fergusson had a big win in his Aero 7 in the race shortened then abandoned as the Thunderstorms approached. Well done and thanks to APYC’s David Weston and David Emery for making the perpetual trophy and David Weston the quality metallic chain bracelet.
