Saturday 13th October, Summer Series 2 club race which is doubling up as resail of Bill Hooper Series 2 race from September. ASC’s Cindy Tilbrook is the Race Officer for the Day. Division starts from 2.30 which now applies till April 2019 following change to Daylight Saving period last sunday. Sailpast for APYC and ASC members at 2pm, with information session at 1.30. There is an invite for ASC members to APYC’s informal Start of Season lunch’ from 12 noon, with bring a plate of food to APYC by 11.30. Also the Term 4 junior Green Fleet program which runs weekly from 1 – 4pm on Saturday till early December commences.
The ASC Discover Sailing Public Open Day is on sunday 21st October 10am to 3pm. Everyone welcome to come down for a sail with us on our club boats on Albert Park Lake. Also a Victorian Laser Association Laser 4.7 Transition Day session at ASC in the morning. Members who can help out with Discover Sailing Day am, pm or all day, should send an email to sailing@albertsc.org.au. Club Spring Series race and junior Green Fleet program on afternoon of Saturday 20th.
The Spring Learn to Sail program commences with an all day session on Sunday 28th October.

The ASC Discover Sailing Public Open Day is on sunday 21st October 10am to 3pm. Everyone welcome to come down for a sail with us on our club boats on Albert Park Lake, and find out more about the club and its activities. Come down for an hour or more. BBQ and drinks on club decking over the lunch period. Also a Victorian Laser Association Laser 4.7 Transition Day session at ASC in the morning from 10am, provides a good opportunity to those with an interest in taking up sailing a Laser 4.7 class boat. On Saturday 20th ASC Summer Series club race at 2.30 and junior Green Fleet program from 1pm.
The ASC Spring Learn to Sail course for adults and juniors commences with an all day session on Sunday 28th October.

The Victorian Mirror Class Championships are being sailed at Blairgowrie YC over the 20th/ 21st October weekend. It will be a small fleet, with Albert well represented by 2 possibly 3 Mirrors. Good sailing to the Mirror sailors.
On 10/11 November Westernport Yacht Club is conducting the 2018 version of its well organised and popular annual Women On Water Regatta. Details are on https://www.revolutionise.com.au/westernportyacht/montalto-women-on-water-regatta/ They currently have 30 entries, mainly in single handed Sabre and double-handed Pacers, with Novice/Intermediate/Advanced groupings. From ASC Pam Webster and Edwige Kozinski have entered, with Cindy Tilbrook to be involved in race management. If you are a female member with an interest in participating check the website and speak to Pam, Edwige or Cindy.
