This week is Spring Series race 3. Racing is scheduled to commence at 2.30pm and briefing at 1.45pm. Early weather indications are for a cloudy, mild day, with a S/SW wind around 15-20km/h.
The club had a huge turnout for the Discover Sailing Public Open Day on Sunday 15 October. We even ran out of life jackets at one point.
Thank you to all the people who volunteered their time on the day and in the preparation for the event. The RS Quest was sailing non-stop all day, as well as 6 Ozi-Optis, 4 Pacers, a laser, RS Neo and 2 RIBs.
The six week junior Green Fleet program in Ozi Optis kicked off last Saturday with at least 7 participants.
Upcoming is the Spring Learn to Sail program which commences on Sunday 29 October and runs through to early December. Rescheduled Laser class Activate Day on Saturday 28 October, for ASC Lasers sailors and visitors. Friday 20th October, Victorian Women & Girls at Albert Park with sailing from Boatshed from 6pm followed by BBQ and Drinks at ASC.

Thursday Snippets, 26 October
Full weekend on 28/29 October. On Saturday 28th we have club Spring Series race starting at 2.30, with junior green fleet session from 1pm. Also Laser class Activate Day from 9am for ASC Laser sailors and visitors. On Sunday 29th there is our monthly ASC social sailing day for members, families and friends from 10am to 4pm. Also day one of the Spring Learn to Sail program from 9,30. Further details on the Learn to Sail program are on www.albertsc.org.au.
On Saturday 4 November, ASC will have a club social sail day, with a scratch race in the afternoon from 2/2.30. This takes into account that some people will be away for an extended weekend with Melbourne Cup Public Holiday on 7 November.
